esta Cuaresma que nos une con amor
a la fe, la esperanza y la caridad.
La Ley y los Profetas de antaño
anunciaron de manera simbólica esta Cuaresma,
que Cristo, Señor y GuÃa de todos los tiempos,
ha santificado en estos últimos dÃas.
Seamos, pues, más moderados
en las palabras que pronunciamos, en la comida que tomamos,
en nuestro sueño, en nuestra risa, en todos nuestros sentidos;
aprendamos la paz a través de la santa penitencia.
Evitemos todo camino perjudicial
que desvÃe a la mente descuidada;
con oración vigilante, liberemos nuestros espÃritus
de las artimañas del enemigo.
Oramos, oh SantÃsima Trinidad,
nuestro Dios mientras transcurren las edades infinitas,
